This is a very roundabout way of saying that if I want to talk about my favorite manga series Delicious in Dungeon by Ryoko Kui, I must first outline the works of art from my adolescence and early adulthood that sparked all kinds of similar memories.

I made a very dramatic revision to my novel, and I thought it would be worth explaining my thought process.

I just finished reading the sixteenth book in Robin Hobb’s The Realm of the Elderlings, and it is a truly astounding series. Full of heartache, tragedy, larger-than-life characters, and exceptional prose.
